History

It was 1969 when the members of the Battlefords Ski Club, which had been operating from the Prongua Hill decided to try and find a larger and better hill to operate a ski facility.

During the summer and fall of 1969, a half section and 12 acres of land were leased. A Battleford railway station was purchased and moved onto the hill, a rope tow was constructed, an access road built, ski runs cleared, electric power installed and equipment purchased.

Table Mountain was opened the winter of 1970.

During the winter of 1973 meetings were held with the Government of Saskatchewan regarding the Regional Park status and with the City of North Battleford regarding the Saskatchewan Winter Games Applications.

The official opening night of Table Mountain Regional Park was December 5, 1973, with free skiing for everyone.

The maintenance building was constructed during the summer of 1983. A new building to house rentals, ski school, ski patrol and administration was constructed in the summer of 1985.

The Regional Park purchased a complete supply of skis, boots, and poles for rental purposes in 1987.

In 1989 the new 11,000 sq. ft. chalet was built, a new access road, and parking lot was completed.

A quad chairlift was installed during the summer of 1991. The 25th Anniversary celebrations were held in January, 1995 with Nancy Greene races and "Jungle Jim" Hunter in attendance.

The summer of 1996 included the building of a snowboard terrain park.

1998-99 saw the construction of a tubing park and the old upper chalet moved to the bottom of the hill to accommodate ski school and ski patrol.

In summer of 2004 renovations to the main chalet were completed.

Summer of 2005 & 2007 Magic Carpet lifts were added to the Bunny Hill and Tubing Park respectively.

What We Have

Table Mountain's 11000 sq. foot lodge is centrally located at the base of our area with easy access to both of our lifts. Its cross shaped design incorporates four main areas to serve your needs.

Included in the lodge is a licensed lounge area to sit back and enjoy a relaxing cocktail after a hard day on the slopes. The satellite television can keep you in touch with many current sports events. If you choose to simply read a book you can do so by the fireside as you admire our handcrafted flagstone fireplace.

The cafeteria offers a variety of self serve food and beverages. If you are traveling longer distances there is no need to worry about breakfast, we can accommodate you with muffins or bacon and eggs. If you wish to bring out larger private groups an evening meal can be catered, simply phone ahead and make arrangements with our food and beverage manager.

The rental  shop provides you with an ample supply of both ski and snowboard equipment in a variety of sizes large enough to accommodate your needs. For further information simply click on prices.

Table mountain's 2000' quad chair will smoothly lift you off your feet and transport you to the top, where you can either test your skills in the terrain park or carve a path down the mountain edging crisply on our 100% man made snow covered runs. Carve up the runs and shred them, we'll have them back in pristine shape by morning with our state of the art Pisten Bully.

For those who don't ride skis or boards we offer tubing in our TUBE PARK.  Bring your mitts, toques and boots and we'll make you feel young again. Tubing is an adventure for the entire family.  As you slide briskly down the hill in either of the two tubing lanes you'll be amazed at the shear excitement of it all. The worst part of the day will be when the park closes and its time to go home.  It is so much fun you'll want to rent for your office party or your child's birthday.  Call for availability and pricing.

Our area is patrolled by both a Pro patrol, which includes EMT's and/or trained First Responders, and also the well respected  C.S.P.S., a Canadian organization of volunteer ski area First Responders.  The CSPS is always looking for more volunteers, so give us a call and we'll put you in contact with the appropriate people.
